DIY remedy for blemished skin

Hi everyone its been awhile since I last wrote something in my blog, I guess being a new mom made me so busy. How am I? I'm great! Kaye just turn 8 months last August 8. Four months to go before her first birthday and I'm starting to come up with ideas on what it will be like. We are planning to celebrate her birthday back home so I have a lot of time preparing it and what not.

Anyway, for the last couple of days 2 zits just suddenly sprung up in my face and it really bothered me a lot so I searched some home made remedy on how to cure it. I did come up with a concoction here it is:

2 tbsp of  lemon zest , 2 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Combine all the ingredients, mix well then with a circular motion gently put it in your face carefully avoiding the eye area. Leave it for 5 minutes. You will probably feel a stinging sensation because of the lemon but don't worry its normal. After 5 minutes you can now wash your wash with warm water and continue ahead with your skin care regimen like putting on cleanser, toner and moisturizer.
I will continue this routine for about a month and I will post the results.

This may not work for everybody but then again there's no harm in trying.

Till next time!

32 weeks and counting

Wew! a long wait will be finally over. Less than 2 months to go before my Ayesha is born, Hubby and I cant wait to hug and kiss her.We have so many plans, expectations and also fears. I guess most first time parents feels that urge to call for help when the need arises but i bet this experience will be worth it. I'd like to be a hands on Mom since i don't want to hire any help.We were expecting that either my mom or my sister will be here to help me out during my first few weeks after giving birth but since mom is busy in her store and tamy's visa was rejected, I guess ill have to do it all on my own which is still ok because hubby will still be with me and promised to take a leave when our baby arrives.

All pertinent prep work is already done! got my hospital and Baby bag completed. We already bought this cute purple Esprit Crib and baby clothes, bought, washed, ironed and ready for Ayesha's arrival.

Cup Cake Galore

Last night hubby and I went to a Cupcake store where we bought a dozen of mini cupcakes. Luckily, one of the sales personnel there was a Filipino so he gave us free cupcakes (aww his so sweet). He said they'll just throw it away that same night so he might as well give us some.
Mini cupcakes cost about 3 SAR per piece while the larger ones are 6 SAR. Although its much cheaper if we buy the larger, we still tried the mini version of the cupcakes promising to myself that we will be back and will try the bigger ones and also their tarts.

Golden Brown Bakery is located at Corner of Thalateen and Dabab Sts. Parking is such a pain though but all in all the cupcakes were great!

Review: L'oreal White Perfect Soothing Cream

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing dandy!, today I am going to make a review about a wonderful product I bought last night. It's the L'oreal White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening Soothing Cream (Night). It cost me 39 SAR This is one of the skin care line of L'oreal White Perfect. Every time I went to the supermarket I see to it that I pass thru their skin care aisle just to see what new products they have available.Ive always wanted to use a whitening cream just before I go to sleep to help my acne marks diminished, good thing I bump into this product.

What this product boasts about:

It lightens skin tone and boosts rosy glow with Tourmalin gemstone which is known to stimulate skin and Soothes and reinforce the skin. This product also ahas Vitamin E which is known to fight against free radicals and to enlighten skin during the night. Results may appear as your skin become supple and hydrated and by using every night your skin become visibly fairer with a healthy glow.Texture is not greasy and is quickly absorbed with no feeling of stickiness.

My Review:

Before applying my moisturizer, I put on just a small amount of this product then carefully padded it on my cheeks , chin and forehead. I must say I love the scent its not too fragrant but smells like Jergens. You can actually feel the softness of your skin after applying.

Right now I'm loving this product!,  I know I should wait for a couple of days or weeks to see if it would work. But I am crossing my fingers on this one.Nowadays, it is so hard to find an affordable yet effective whitening product and I don't want to put just anything on my face.

So if ever you  notice that your complexion is beginning to look dull, yellowish or want to achieve fairer skin, you can try this product.

Feel free to tell me what you think!:)

Till next time..xoxo
